New Goodies!

I recently bought these new goodies at Joann's Super store in Porter Ranch....can I just say I L - O - V - E that store ...OMG! It has everything that I want, under one roof....yes, under one roof!!! YIKES! Maybe that is not such a good idea for my pocket book. Ugh, shopping is my weakness. =/

A Sweet Find....

Last week as I was driving home, I came across a bookshelf sitting on the curb. I actually waited two days before finally deciding to take it home. I am so lucky no one grabbed it in those two days. I wish I would've taken a BEFORE pic but I didn't.....it was a light maple color with some scratches and SUPER dusty. I cleaned it up and painted it black.... and now here it is, in it's new home.....my craft room.... =) I love it!

I thought I would share a brooch that my grandmother gave me when I was in my 30's. Sadly she passed away 2 years ago. Lately I have found myself admiring it quite often. I keep it in a curio cabinet with other things of hers and my grandfathers. The more I look at it I fall more in love with it. I'm not sure when and where my grandmother bought it but I am so grateful she gave it to me.

Grandpa's Keys

As a kid, I followed my grandpa around every chance I got. He always had a million things to do, though it seemed like that to me....lol. I think he made my daily visits more of an adventure just to see his granddaughter's eyes light up when we found all sorts of treasures around the house, yard, and in the garage. One of the things that I loved to find with him were old keys. He always put them in a nice box and from time to time we would look at them. I have some of those keys now and they mean the world to me...they bring me back to a time with my grandpa, whom I miss so much, a time that seemed to go by so fast but was carefree and innocent. Thank you Grandpa for always being there.
